Yes, I understand. My comment was based on the logs I've been
studying, where it appears the NULLs are showing up during the
client startup processing. That's what has me puzzled, it
shouldn't happen there. ... Still looking, it might be just
multiple instances of the clients confusing things - I need to
pay closer attention to the connection ids.
