ODP: [firebird-support] Backaup&Restore error

what error you get in the first steep that you try using -fix_fss_metadata switch?

Hi, I´m Raúl.

 

I´m trying to compact my database, so I´ve run backup (gbak) and restore (gbak) but with errors (Windows XP SP3 + Firebird 2.5.4)

Trying  "–FIX_FSS_METADATA" (is this the intended behavior?) gbak ask me for a character set that I don´t know how to pass in.

 

C:\>gbak -b frigo.gdb frigo.bak -USER SYSDBA -PAS masterkey

 

C:\>gbak -c frigo.bak frigo2.gdb  -USER SYSDBA -PAS masterkey

 

gbak: ERROR:Invalid metadata detected. Use -FIX_FSS_METADATA option.

gbak: ERROR:    Malformed string

gbak:Exiting before completion due to errors

 

gbak.exe -c frigo.bak frigo2.gdb  -USER SYSDBA -PAS masterkey -FIX_FSS_METADATA

gbak: ERROR:Character set parameter missing

gbak:Exiting before completion due to errors
